Is a TS/SCI clearance that lapsed in 2015 still of any value?

I had a TS/SCI when I separated in 2014. I was unable to get a job that requires it so it expired in 2015. I am still trying to get in to the defense industry and was wondering if I should mention that I had a TS/SCI or does it not mean anything anymore?

Yes it is of value, I would highlight it but note that it is currently lapsed due to inactivity but easily restored compared to initiation of a brand new clearance. Be sure that it is noted that lapsed due to not being used and good luck.

Yes.

Your clearance is not "lapsed"; it is dormant.

To bring you up-to-date requires investigation of your time between deactivation and current day.
