Veteran

I have a BA in Business Management and I am trying to open up a Group Home for Veterans. Does anyone have the procedures or any helpful advice on how to do this?

My Mother was their first donor and my kids and I have been supporters since.

Hi Boris I wanted to check in and see how your doing with funding. Are you looking at CMS or just VA benefits funding? Or are you looking at private funding as a nonprofit?
I am currently working as Exec Dir of a nonprofit in PA.
I’m not sure where I can help but I am very willing to do what I can to help you get your idea launched.

Thanks, Brian Stevens for trying to answer my question but most of these actions have already been completed. I have never talked to the National Guard but I will try that. Thanks again.

I don't have a great anwser but I have some suggestion/questions that will get you started.

Speak with your national guard FAC in the area.
What is the demand for this in your area?
contact someone already doing the same thing in a different area ask for there business plan and or roadmap.
Will this be for profit or as a nonprofit will need to setup that accounting system and get a CPA that is familiar with your choice.
What is your federal and or local government funding?
What are the requirements to get this money?
Once you have the business details figured out go into the city and they will help you find a good property for that use. Location can be important!
