On the money raising side I would like to share a few resources many people don't think about: 1. Local economic development boards. You may not be able to get dollars from a struggling city/town/area, but often times you can get help with rent, and/or advertising. 2. Grants from the government are often available. You might check out USA.gov/grants and grants.gov . I would even recommend the book "grant writing for dummies", which was a course requirement for a technical writing class I took in college.

Thank you for your service Erick. I have owned this same business in another state, and I would be glad to talk to you about the details in all areas of running this type of business. We learned that a child care business is one of the most complex businesses to run (and the most fun), and there's a lot to it, but I can share what we learned over the 20 years our ownership and management, if you feel this is helpful.
