This should be relatively easy since almost every doctors office I have visited in the last two years has PA's. Pick out a location and call the office and ask if you can speak to a PA. Once connected tell them what you would like to do. They have already been through this and know what you are going through. I asked a PA several years ago if she would be willing to be shadowed. Here reaction was she would be happy to help. Just keep asking until you connect. Part of the challenge is to see if you have the initiative to ask.

Suggest checking to see if there is a PA registry in your area. Further, I would inquire at local clinics whose patients come from busy neighborhoods. In my town, our doctor's office has one PA on duty every day and a temp when necessary. Many of the patients where I live need more "first aid" care than serious medical treatments. Moreover, fifty percent of the residents of my town are Hispanic, so nurses, the PAs and lab techs speak Spanish. If you are bilingual, find a clinic who needs someone who speaks a language other than English. If that is you, tell the interviewer! Good luck. I think Physician Assistants are the wave of the future to keep medical costs down. You are going to be trained perfectly to surf that wave!
