Self-Defense/Tactics Instructor

Veteran

Terren Hall Fort Pol, LA

Hello. I was just curious as to how one would go about trying to become a Self-Defense/Combatives instructor with organizations such as Homeland Security, Border Patrol, Private Sec firms, etc.? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Terren, Thank you for your service! Have you checked out www.usajobs.gov? They post most of the federal open positions, except the FBI, I believe you must go to their website. USPS.com has Postal Inspection Service positions. My presumption, to become a self defense instructor, become a federal law enforcement agent. The great benefit to a position with another federal agency would be capturing those 9 years into a federal retirement. Best wishes!
