Im currently an engineering inspector and like everyone else I want more. As i am now, my pay isnt much and i have almost a years experience in this field. I want to be able to advance in this field. I have yet to use my GI Bill. I work 70 hours a week, have 2 kids, and a wife that works full time. I can however work on my studies during work often. My only option is Old Dominion University online. Is it even possible or worth my time?

I would check into those first before committing to a 4 year degree program.

If you only make $50k per year and it takes you 70 hours per week to do that, you are only making $14 per hour.
A Cyber-security engineer can earn $200k annual base salary.
In ten year work history, on your current job, you could have earned $500,000; or, in ten years in IT, you could have become a millionaire twice.

A four year engineering degree is very marketable. There may be some employer preference for a traditional degree but I think the courses and grades would have more weight. In any event if you can't go the traditional route, the on-line should be very worthwhile. I wouldn't decide against an engineering degree for that reason.
