I’m trying to direct more people to my kickstarter. Does anyone have any recommendations for news channels or marketing methods? Appreciate any information that you can share. Thanks!

Hello Ben,

It also depends on the type of kickstarter project that you are creating that may influence how your promote it. Researching similar genres (books, games, etc) will help you know how to reach that type of audience that may help fund your project. Good luck

Dear John, Jennifer, Brandon and Gerald:

I appreciate your responses to my question and sorry for my late response. We have been buckling down to wrap up all the loose ends before submitting the project to Kickstarter for review.

Hi Ben,
Brandon provided some great information. These days, social media is probably your best bet. You need to develop some regular content- maybe blog posts, videos, instagram pictures. This will help elevate your SEO rankings. If you are willing to spend a few dollars, many of the social media websites provide very targeted marketing for very little money.
I hope this helps.
Warm regards,
Jerry

Social Media!!! Create a Facebook event, LinkedIn article, Twitter etc. Push the news out through friends and family and have them share (spread the love).

Contribute info & knowledge to subject-relevant e-bulletin boards, and include a link to your Kickstarter as part of your auto-signature. Of course, don't ask for money in e-discussion groups; focus on contributing value.
You probably e-mailed everyone you know, and also asked them to forward it to their contacts that would be interested.

Write newsworthy articles and post on relevant sites. These would be articles of fact that hold an interest for a general population.

Think about how old-school book authors attract audiences to their works.
