How to be able to work in logistics while keeping my fulltime position.

What is the best way to do logistics and/or transportation on the side either as a consultant or being able to work for a company or for myself. Currently working as a S-4 OIC on the TPU side with 90A being my branch but was a 88A before. On the civilian side I am a Logistics Management Specialist and as a Property Book Officer. I enjoy what I do on both sides within the logistics realm of the Army. Please advise on how I may be able to take that enjoyment into the civilian sector while keeping my fulltime job. Thank you.

Robert how would I be able to apply to the EBV program? I am a little nervous to do logistics in the civilian sector for all of my experience is in military logistics. I would like to gain wisdom of knowledge first in corporate logistics before breaking out on my own. Have any ideas. Thank you for your help.

What about starting a 3PL (third Party Logistics) company supplying to Wallmart or others in your area. They're always looking for a VOB or SDVOSB 3PL they can utilize to meet uncle SAMs metrics. If you come up with a viable plan for your area you could apply to the EBV program out of Syracuse NY & they'd foot the bill for their entrepreneurs course which covers all the things veteran business owners go through.
