Why is there not an option on AdvisorNet to be a Veteran and Advisor?

Just wondering if we could get a third option that would allow a veteran to be both.

Thanks,

Brian

I'm a veteran and an advisor... just an old veteran, I separated in 1984... but can still remember that feeling of no longer having the safety net of Uncle Sam or the chow hall for that matter... I encourage young and old veterans that have made the transition to join and help other vets. It's a great platform for that.

Good point Brian! Looks like from the ACP response you are free to support as an Advisor to and serve as a Mentor to others. Continue to support other Veterans as my brother has given support to many other Veterans using his personal story and experiences.

Hi Brian,

That's a great question. Typically, veterans who are using the site primarily to find career guidance would sign up for a Veteran account. Veterans who would like to spend most of their time on the site offering career advice usually sign up as Advisors.

However, any veteran on the site is welcome to ask or answer Questions, write Articles and send private messages acting as either a Veteran or Advisor. You can also change your account type by going into Settings (in the top right bar of your screen) and changing your answer to the question 'Which of these describes you.' The two options are 'I am a veteran' and 'I am an Advisor.' We try to keep this aspect of the site flexible to allow for different types of use, but please feel free to message me if you have any additional questions about account types.

Best regards,
Ali
