Ignatius, Hi and Howdy. I'm Chris Anzalone. You can reach me 24/7 at 816-716-4709. I also check my email at least once a week: richard.hoedl@gmail.com. It looks like Doug can assist you as a personal counselor. I could also do exactly the same thing. I have a lot of experience in many fields so I could offer a wider perspective perhaps than Doug. But, I'm sure Doug has his strong points as well. Talk to both of us and see which one is better for you. Or, heck, use both of us! Sincerely, Chris

I am far away both in years and geography, but I like working one on one wth transitioning vets. With the internet, I think I can help you. I was good at this in college, By carefully reading the rules at University of Illinois, Champaign, I was able to get both a BA and MS at the same time without graduating early. I was in ROTC, so graduating early would have meant leaving school for active duty before I got the MS. If you want me to help, send me your contact email so we can get started. Previously, I worked with a vet helping her refine her resume and linkedin page while she looked for a job then relocated from Okinawa to Tennessee. She said I really made a difference.

You need to find a counselor/advisor at the college. He/She will help you register and, based on your major, they will provide a degree plan to tell you what classes you need to take to get your degree. Every major requires some basic courses in English, Math and History. My daughter took those classes first. There is financial aid for vets available so be sure to take advantage of that.

Good luck!

Hi Ignatius - Yes, we all have been there. Have you contacted a counselor at the institution? They will be able to assist you in registering for classes and provide guidance for completion of your degree.

I wish you all the best!
