How to join Oracle's University Workforce Development Program for Veterans?

Veteran

Alice Mason Helendale, CA

I would appreciate more information on how to take advantage of Oracle’s University courses as part of the Oracle University Workforce Development Program for Veterans. How can I be apart of this program to gain access to financial software certification courses? I have looked online and emailed Oracle's representatives listed on the website and I have received no response. The website did not provide guidance that explained how to apply, only that the resource was available for veterans.

Thanks
Alice Mason

Hi, Alice: looking at your CORE group I see a number of my colleagues who are now at Oracle. Small world.

So you've emailed this address and had no reply? (OU-VeteransRelations_US@oracle.com) Or did you email Michelle Cross?

Best,
Drew

Update: followed up with a message here on AdvisorNet after some research.

Hi Alice,
Thank you for your service!
In addition to these answers above, I wish to tell you an all the other Veterans reading this post, I have come across free training offered in California to CA Employees.

www.saisoft.net

I believe they offer courses in Oracle Database Administration. If you can get into one of these courses it gives you a head start on the training provided by Oracle and also demonstrates your desire to be in this field.
Best of luck. And if you wish, connect with me on Linked In.
