I am looking to start a job in the installation of PV solar panels. I am located in sunny Orlando FL, and it seems very hard to find someone or a place to get reliable training (one that is national accepted). I would like to find a place to get training while I am here in Orlando for the next year; so I am not wasting my time. Do to the legislation here it is, or seems hard to find the opportunity to get training from a reliable source. I also really just don't know where to or how to get started.

I would like to follow this thread too. I will be moving to Jacksonville, FL in a few weeks to learn about Solar Panel manufacturing. It is with this company called Jinko Solar and Power. I am not sure what their standard and structure are but they have large markets and fields in Europe, Latin America, Middle East, and more. They will be building up in North America with their new facilities. I have accepted their offer and will be learning about PV cells and modules.
Hi Ralph,
Found this institution that focuses on renewable energy education in Florida and their programs. http://everglades-edu.info/programs.php and they seem to offers instructions online too. If you are looking at the trade level training, this may be a place you could start. http://www.everbluetraining.com/solar-training. Looks like they do offer online certifications and also have presence in Daytona and Florida. http://www.everbluetraining.com/locations
Good luck to you. That is one trade that is going to take off in the very near future

Hi Ralph,
I am not an expert, but it looks like this organization would be helpful:
