Rod,
In the current environment grants to a start-up business are very rare. The business owner needs to find funding either from his own assets or some kind of loan from a bank, friend, or family member. I agree with the suggestion that you contact SCORE for help with business planning. The service is free and confidential. You can sign up for mentoring at score.org.

Rod, I know this response might find you late but I also know with 4 years in the startup world that this might still be helpful to you and other Veterans. I wanted to promote that Stanford has an entrepreneur summer program for Veterans to give a crash course in business development. I encourage you to check it out and let me know if I can help you with your application. The deadline is 3 Mar 2016.

Rod, a good place to start is with Service Corp of Retired Executives (SCORE) they are backed by the SBA.

Rod -- I'm sorry I can't provide a direct answer to your question, but I would like to suggest you use a different photo. The tag line on the bottom right doesn't seem to support a professional individual. It appears that the photo is from a dating site. In order to be taken seriously as a business manager, you might consider posting a more professional photo. Lori
