Since sales training and knowledge is forever changing, what are some new books and educational courses that can help create an effective up-to-date sales person?

I was looking for online courses, books and advice on sales training and motivation. I understand some education or ways of selling can rapidly become out-dated. So any suggestion on up-to-date information or old information that’s effective is welcome.

Subscribe to SalesGravy.com Full of sales training and info. Also, any book by Jeffrey Gitomer is great and probably easily attainable from you local library. He also has a great web site. All of these resources are free.

Best of luck,

Bob

A big part of sales and marketing is networking and how to build and maintain your network. Recommend you read book Never Eat Alone by Keith Ferrazzi. Great book about strategic networking and how to start to update and maintain your rolodex of contacts.

The Challenger Sale - this book was recently brought to my attention and it fits well in the pharmaceutical sales paradigm. Best of luck!
