The Department Manager will oversee the plant warehousing, logistics, and planning teams across all three shifts. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Department Manager will be part of the plant leadership team and manage a team of supervisors and associates.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Plan production, forecast inventory and plans short/long-term capacity in order to achieve targeted fill rates

Coordinate scheduling with component suppliers, brand managers and procurement

Collaborate with Merchandising, Planning and Inventory, QA, logistics, procurement, to develop/adjust required inputs for detailed production planning

Understand future capacity/supply constraints affecting production by engaging stakeholders throughout the planning process, and lead the development of recovery plans

Qualifications
4+ years of management experience in a high-speed consumer products packaging environment or related, with strong logistics and planning acumen

A substantial technical background, evidenced by academic credentials and professional and/or military experience

Strong interpersonal skills – ability to communicate a vision effectively and to enroll others in that vision

Knowledge and proven ability to implement high performing organizations

Strong ability to coach and developing skills and proven ability to influence others

Strong problem solving skills

Strong organizational and time management skills

Strong leadership skills and ability to help associates take ownership for the business

Strong working knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices such as TPM, OEE and the ability to utilize these tools to create and operate a high performing organization

PC skills that encompass Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and ERP applications
