The Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) is seeking a Client Service Coordinator within TruePlan Benefit and Retirement Advisors (TruePlan). TruePlan is an industry leader in employee benefits and retirement plan consulting. TruePlan delivers tangible business results to finance and human resource leaders, enabling them to enhance plan offerings while remaining competitive and reducing overall plan costs. Reporting to the Director, Retirement Plan Services this position will be responsible for managing all aspects of the client relationship by acting as an internal partner for the Retirement Services division.
This is a hybrid position based in Rensselaer, NY and applicants must live within a commutable distance from our office. The salary for this position is between $55,000 and $60,000. Payrate offered will be based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities and in consideration of internal equity.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Maintain a strong and trusting relationship with clients to ensure we are providing superior customer service.
• Handle any specific client questions or distribute questions to the appropriate party.
• Run / Provide any requested reports or data- especially quarterly investment performance reports, demographics, operational reviews, etc.
• Convey any plan and investment changes to vendors, coordinate documents for execution and assisting with plan participant notices.
• Prepare additional meeting materials.
• Occasionally assist with answering and preparing RFPs, proposals, investment mapping strategies, etc. for existing business and new prospects.
• Attend meetings virtually or via phone to take meeting notes and transcribe them for distribution and enter into CRM system.
• Ensure follow up items are completed after each meeting.
• Review received paperwork for client accounts and take any needed action.
• Assist with event planning related to retirement clients, prospects, and business partners, such as organizing webinars and scheduling meetings.
Qualifications:
• Associate degree plus 2 years of related experience required or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. Experience with related products or client experience is desirable and may substitute for education requirement.
• New York State Life, Accident and Health license and FINRA 6, 63 & 65 obtained within a reasonable amount of time (12-18 months) post hire.
• Must have the ability and confidence to build trusting relationships with senior level staff.
• Working knowledge of and remain current in regulations governing various types of retirement plans, including, but not limited to, 403(b), 401(k), and nonqualified plans is preferred.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with quick, quality turnaround.
• Must be motivated, enthusiastic, and have exceptional human relations and long-term relationship building skills to anticipate needs of service team and clients.
• Must possess excellent attention to detail, project management and organizational skills. Must be able to prioritize duties and act independently.
