Description
The RCM Implementation Specialist works with our Pediatric extended families and the department during the onboarding process. This position requires expert knowledge of medical software, medical billing, and customer service. Attention to detail, organization, independent working ability, computer skills, and knowledge of ICD10 and CPTs codes are a must.

Essential Functions / Tasks / Duties / Responsibilities:
Improve time-to-value for RCM implementation and manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously, engaging hands-on account management for the duration of implementation phases for each customer
Attend client meetings with the Project Manager (PM) and Implementation team to review workflow and determine practice-specific questions.
Stay in constant contact with RCM Implementation Supervisor and cross functional team members to provide feedback on client’s current status.
Gather and distribute necessary documents to support the practice; blueprint, fee schedule, and other documentation needed to set up RCM services
Provide timely and accurate updates and assessments of client’s readiness to implement RCM services.
Complete configuration of billing sections of database; add carriers, fee schedules and aware rules into Office Practicum
Follow up with practice for outstanding items from meetings
Follow up on credentialing issues
Maintain Salesforce documentation; meeting notes, key dates, resource links, etc.
Review client set up in OP, add information, and confirm setup of RCM-specific items for client.
Assist with identifying and correcting best practices before transitioning client to account management and operations.
Makes decisions, speaks with clients, and follows protocols with little to no supervision.
Provides reports/updates as required by Management as requested
Assists in the research and correction of billing errors
Notifies Manager of any issues related to claims billing, adjustments or denials
Participates in professional/company development activities
Ensures strict confidentiality of client records
Meets routine deadlines and work schedules as well as timely and accurate completeness of special projects
Documents repetitive issues for corrective action
Ensures compliance with all state and federal billing regulations and reports any suspected compliance issues to the respective Manager/Supervisor
Works with supervision, management and staff to improve processes, increase accuracy, create efficiencies and achieve the overall goals of the department
Performs other duties as assigned
Report to Supervisor/Manager any issues they feel need to be addressed with specific accounts.

Requirements

Maintains proficiency and level of knowledge with all systems required for task completion
Works Independently
Knowledge of Office Practicum EMR/PM a plus
Knowledge of Insurance carrier payment policies, practices and amounts
Working knowledge and application of ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding
Must be comfortable working with different systems and software applications
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
Active listening, interpersonal written and oral communication skills needed
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws necessary
Be constructive in a positive way

Education / Professional Certifications or Licenses Required:
Diploma or GED required

Experience Requirements:
3-5 years electronic Medical Billing experience in a non-hospital setting
Experience with implementation of practice management and/or EHR software
Expert Experience working in a billing service environment, prior team lead/Supervisor experience a plus
Experience in pediatric clinical settings a plus
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Experience with Salesforce and Google Docs

Supervisory responsibilities:
No direct reports

Work Environment / Physical demands/ Travel Requirements:
Ability to travel when needed
Ability to lift 5-10 pounds occasionally.
Ability to utilize communication tools including computer, telephone.
Significant amount of sitting and standing on a daily basis.

Salary Description
$50,000 - $60,000 annual
