Job Description
We are actively seeking cleared Hungarian, Polish, Romanian, and Ukrainian interpreters to provide linguistic support to U.S. European Command (EUCOM). You will be providing general language support for military operations and interpreting during interviews, meetings, and conferences.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
US citizen
Active Secret Security Clearance
Extensive knowledge of culture with previous work in the region-Native familiarity preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience interpreting and translating target language into English
Must be in good physical condition with no health deficiencies, either temporary or long-lasting, that would impair performance.

Capable of performing the following duties:
Monitoring, translating, and synopsizing content of real time oral communications and recordings.
Transcribing from storage media, including audio cassettes, videocassettes, or digital media
Preparing typed English translations from other source media
Performing quality control reviews of completed work
Validating the accuracy of completed translations and transcriptions
Interpreting conversations, concurrently/simultaneously

CAT II Hungarian, Romanian & Ukrainian Translator Desired Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals or groups from various levels and backgrounds.
Experience working in a high-threat environment

Roles/Responsibilities
Providing general language support for military operations and interpretation during interviews, meetings, and conferences:
Conduct accurate and consecutive translation, transcription, and interpretation from target language into English
Translate various syntax and expressions to include colloquial and slang phrases from English to the target language and vice versa
Work and travel in austere environments
Provide advice on the cultural and ethnic significance of statements, conversations, situations, and documents
Accurately scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents
Language Requirements
Fluent in English and Hungarian, Polish, Romanian, or Ukrainian

Language Fluency Requirements
• Score at least a C1/C1 in writing and speaking in the target
language
• Score at least a C1/C1 in writing and speaking in English
