Job Description
We are actively seeking interpreters to provide linguistic support to U.S. Army Central Command (ARCENT). Selected candidates will be providing general language support for military operations and interpret during interviews, meetings, and conferences.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
US citizen
Active Secret Security Clearance
Able to meet the language requirements outlined below
Minimum of three years experience as a linguist (written and spoken communications) is required.
Excellent command of both the English and target language.
Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals or groups from various levels and backgrounds.
Must be in good physical condition with no health deficiencies, either temporary or long-lasting, that would impair performance.

Capable of performing the following duties:
Monitoring, translating and synopsizing content of real-time oral communications and recordings.
Transcribing from storage media, including audiocassettes, videocassettes or digital media and typing in both the required target
Preparing typed English translations from other source media
Performing quality control reviews of completed work
Validating the accuracy of completed translations and transcriptions
Interpreting oral conversations, concurrently/simultaneously

Desired Qualifications
Experience working in a high-threat environment and experience with US Department of State security operations

Roles/Responsibilities

Language Requirements
Fluent in and English and Target Language
Score at least a 3/3/3 writing, reading and speaking (WRS) in Target Language
Score at least a 2+/2+/2+ writing, reading and speaking (WRS) in English
Fluent in English and one of the following languages:
Arabic (Iraqi or Levantine)
Arabic/Kurdish
Bengali
Hindi
Hindi/Nepalese
Kurdish (Kurmanji or Sorani)
