SUMMARY:

The Analyst, Corporate Development assists G&W’s Corporate Development team on acquisition, investment, and other corporate finance related projects. The position works as a business partner with existing G&W operations and interacts with G&W’s senior executives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supports the evaluation of both organic and external investment opportunities and strategic projects.
Develops robust financial models and performs detailed financial analysis on projects.
Assists with research, economic analysis, due diligence, and the preparation of memoranda and presentations. Supports in project negotiations.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in corporate development / corporate finance / transaction services / investment banking / management consulting / equity research / or a similar role.
Interest or background in transportation preferred.
Detail-orientated analytical skills; strong experience building financial models and carrying out quantitative financial analysis.
Technical knowledge in the areas of valuation (DCF, Earnings Multiples, etc.) and corporate finance (financial statement analysis, financial return metrics such as IRR, NPV, etc.)
Excellent problem solving and reasoning ability; possesses organizational skills, with the ability to assume responsibilities, establish priorities and work independently.
Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written forms in a professional, coherent, and organized manner.
Well organized, resourceful and plans well; effective multi-tasker with an ability to prioritize deliverables and increase work intensity as required; is intellectually curious.
Proactive and navigates well to get the task accomplished; self-aware and agile; presents views and arguments well; does the right thing.
Establishes good working relationships with a broad range of styles and different types of people; is open and accepting of differences; effective up and down the organization; a team player.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR CREDENTIALS:

Willingness and ability for travel.
Bachelor’s or Graduate degree is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools and applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.) with advanced knowledge of Excel.
