SUMMARY:
The person in this position is responsible for delivering solutions using various enterprise business intelligence and analytical technologies to meet strategic business needs. This person will be working with business leaders to identify and develop information-based tools that lead to better decisions and increased profitability. The primary job responsibility is to design, develop, implement, and support BI tools. Additional responsibilities include training business stakeholders on the deployed BI platforms as well as being a liaison between the Data Warehouse team and business units.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Designs and implements BI and analytical solutions built on top of Data Warehouse
•Works with company leadership to gather requirements for desired BI and analytical solutions
•Communicates with Data Warehouse team to understand data models
•Creates and maintains documentation of data models developed by the Data Warehouse team
•Keeps up to date with changes and new functions of all current and future BI tools through independent research, direct communication with vendors, and active involvement in professional associations and training programs
•Trains business stakeholders on new functionality of deployed BI and analytical tools
•Stewards BI and analytical tools across the company, up to and including:
•Communication of new features
•Traveling to various regions to train business stakeholders
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
•Business acumen
•Deep understanding of analytical concepts
•Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Business Objects & Excel
•Excellent communication (written/verbal) skills
•Experience with DAX
•Experience with Power Query
•Experience with T-SQL
•Knowledge of R
•Knowledge of SSAS Tabular/Multidimensional models
•Self-motivated and directed, with good attention to detail
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR CREDENTIALS:
•BE or BS degree in one of the following subject areas or related fields preferred: Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Interaction Design, Visual Arts
•2-3 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst
•2-3 years of experience with BI tools such as Power BI
•1-2 years of experience with DAX, Power Query, and T-SQL
