IN2WORK:

IN2WORK (I2W) is a vocational training program opportunity for people who are currently incarcerated. The IN2WORK program aims to help reduce recidivism by providing students with the opportunity to learn transferable, foundational food service and job skills through a comprehensive curriculum requiring classroom and hands-on training. Students receive a nationally recognized certification upon completion of the program, a key differentiator when looking for employment after release.

The main purpose of IN2WORK is to teach students how to function in a workplace setting and work as a team, leading to an increase in public safety and a decrease in future victimization. Students learn accountability and responsibility through disciplined classroom and hands-on training. By building competent and confident graduates, I2W set students up for success upon reentry.

Job Responsibilities
Lead the implementation of IN2WORK, teach and train students accepted into the program. Manage and maintain the daily and weekly schedule of the program at assigned locations. Track and report program progress to I2W support team. Serve as reentry resource for the graduates of the program - support for scholarship and employment opportunities pre & post release. Provide support for food & retail programming, and/or commissary and warehousing operations at the component level.

Specific duties include:

  • Implement the I2W Program at all applicable locations in within the determined geographical area (Food, Retail, & Juvenile) and surrounding locations.

  • Successfully meet the program KPI's.

  • Partner with the client teams to recruit, schedule, and retain students in the program.

  • Facilitate the program I2W as designed for each location.

  • Train Aramark operations teams on implementing and continuing the program.

  • Partner with I2W support team to remain current on progression of the I2W program, attend monthly meetings.

  • Maintain database of I2W graduates for all locations.

  • Track I2W graduates who are released and have interviewed/offered jobs with Aramark and community partners.

  • Support and work with community groups to educate them on IN2WORK to help graduates find employment opportunities upon release.

  • Facilitate on-the-job training through food service and retail operations.

  • Support daily operations, pending account type - Food Service or in the Commissary/Warehouse.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead the front of the house of the dining operation (Cafeteria/ Residential Dining Facility) in conjunction with the Food Service Director
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates food service activities in order to deliver a finished product to the customer

  • Develop and implement food service plans aligned with the client's mission and vision, to include sustainable practices

  • Role will entail 50% of IN2WORK teaching and 50% responsibilities involving food service operations at the facility.
