Job Description
The IT Technical Support will work in a fast-paced environment and will provide support to multiple custom and integrated operation application supporting the Avendra business. This is a technical position. Candidate should either have a development background or general working experience with SDLC, application configuration and light database work. They will work closely with Business Analysts and Application developers to review defects and assess their validity and root cause. They will also collaborate with business analysts and application managers coordinate defect and enhancement releases.
Avendra’s systems are highly integrated, therefore support and defect analysis will require candidate to become familiar with business processes as well as backend integrations and data flows/ETLs.
Job Responsibilities
Liaison between Business Analysis and Development teams (on-shore and off-shore)
Review and verify reported application defects
Handle Data analysis and updates
Create and run database queries to provide ad-hoc reports or insight into data-related issues
Manage back-end database updates required for support efforts
Collaborate with application managers in project deployments in a SoD environment
Collaborate with QA Team to define testing scope and approach.
Track work in incident tracking /defect management system
Provide emergency support on any business-critical matters involving the supported applications
Flexible schedule with occasional off-hours work for production application and maintenance deployments.
Qualifications
Functional/Technical Skills – General experience with application configurations and technical trouble shooting (development skills are not required but a plus)
SQL Server: Proficiency in writing SQL to query data and write and execute update statements.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Strong management and organizational skills with capability to work independently.
