Job Description
Reporting to the VP, Compensation, this position will be responsible for the design and implementation of all executive compensation programs including incentive plans, equity grants and the Board of Directors compensation plans. In addition, this position is responsible for preparing materials for the Compensation Committee and will support all external filing including preparation of the Compensation Discussion and Analysis (CD&A) of the proxy statement. The Senior Director of Executive Compensation will work closely with Legal, Finance and HR Leadership in developing and administering Aramark’s global executive compensation programs.
Job Responsibilities
• Partner with the VP, Compensation and SVP, Total Rewards to manage the agenda and material development for Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.
• Gather data, develop tables and write the narrative for the Compensation Discussion and Analysis (CD&A) of the proxy statement.
• Prepare compensation recommendations for executives which includes evaluating executive roles relative to the external market and assessing internal functional relationships.
• Oversee the administration of the Employee Stock Purchase Program and lead the continued global roll-out of the program.
• Act as a subject matter expert by providing guidance on executive compensation programs and policies and lead the research and benchmarking of compensation best practices, monitoring of legal developments, evaluating emerging trends and keeping appraised of technological advancements.
• Work with legal counsel to ensure global compliance with all governmental regulations related to executive rewards programs.
• Interface with Legal, Accounting, Tax, Audit, and other necessary functions regarding compensation programs to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Work closely with the Committee’s independent compensation consultant and manage other external consultants and consulting assignments as necessary.
• Manage documentation and executive communications to ensure understanding of the programs by HR business partners, executive leadership and plan participants.
• Provide leadership to the Executive Compensation team.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of compensation experience including experience planning, designing and developing strategic executive compensation programs at a public company or as an executive compensation consultant
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Human Resources, Management or other related discipline; Master’s Degree preferred
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail; strong analytical skills and ability to gather key insights from quantitative and qualitative data
• Strong written and graphical business presentation skills and ability to simplify and illustrate complex concepts; strong oral communication and influencing skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment; ability to work independently and in team environments
• Self-directed with critical thinking ability; strong project management skills while juggling multiple projects or tasks concurrently
• Ability to anticipate internal or external business challenges and follow regulatory issues
• Discretion and sensitivity in the handling of confidential information
• Demonstrated experience managing people
• Experience with long-term incentive plan design, specifically in stock plan administration including compliance with applicable Accounting, SEC, IRS, and DOL regulations
• Experience with administration of non-qualified deferred compensation plan
• Experience in developing the CD&A for the annual proxy statement
• Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access skills
