Overview
Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Distribution Center Manager (Manager, Logistics) who will manage the daily operations of the Distribution Center, with leadership responsibility for the Training, Safety, and Performance of warehouse associates and administrative staff. The Distribution Center Manager is also responsible for facility layout, maintenance, and inventory control. Works closely with Canon sales and marketing groups to achieve of monthly sales goals. Ensures execution of timely processing and shipment of sales orders to dealers and distributors. Manages the operational performance of all transportation carriers providing Inbound and Outbound shipment support to the DC. Reviews and approves the purchasing of all equipment and supplies for the Distribution Center.

This position requires full-time presence at your assigned office(s)/worksite(s)/territory.
Responsibilities
Management of physical storage and distribution network activities
Continuous improvement and standardization across all areas and processes within the Logistics organization
Management of Distribution Center relocation projects and warehouse management system (WMS) implementation activities
Provides management and oversight of CUSA Inventory Control programs and procedures
Reports cost and performance data to senior leadership
Develops and Implements programs in support of corporate logistics headquarters strategy to improve operational efficiency and achieve order fulfillment excellence
Manages a part or all of a functional area (such as a department or region) and ensures goals, deadlines and budgets are met for area of responsibility
Has a good understanding of organizational objectives and interacts regularly with other managers across the organization
Selects, develops and evaluates subordinate employees
Typically reports to a Senior Manager or Director

Qualifications
Please note: We comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, orders and mandates, including those we may be required to follow as a federal government contractor/subcontractor.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 3 years of related experience and management of typically two or more regular full-time employees (one of whom must be exempt)
Demonstrated capabilities in front line, first level training, supervision, planning. Problem solving and motivational skills are required.
Experience in distribution, operations, planning and inventory control systems is desirable
Knowledge in freight transportation and shipping/receiving is helpful
The position requires excellent oral and writing communications skills as well as highly developed interpersonal skills
Some overnight travel may be expected
