The Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System (SERS) seeks a creative, self-motivated, detail-oriented, hard-working individual with strong relationship and communication skills to join our HR team. We’re looking for someone to help us build a comprehensive training curriculum and to oversee various workplace support services. If you have experience with instructor-led training, eLearning, and blended learning, then this may be the position for you! Experience developing web-based courses using Articulate is a plus as is a background in equal employment and disability services.


We are a small HR team, and each HR Analyst is responsible for multiple functional areas. You’ll be a good fit for this opportunity if you enjoy varied responsibilities, thrive on challenging work, and can easily adapt to fluctuating workloads and priorities. A primary responsibility of this position is training, but this opportunity is much more than that! You’ll also be responsible for equal employment opportunity; disability services; employee engagement, retention, and recognition; and supervising the individual responsible for time administration, personnel files, and employee performance reviews.

Work Hours and Additional Information: ◦Full-time employment - 37.5 hour work week
◦Employees may choose from one of the following work schedules:
• 8:00–4:30 with a one-hour meal period
• 8:30-4:30 with a one-half hour meal period
◦•Supervision: This position has supervisory responsibilities
◦You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. On-site reporting is to the SERS Harrisburg location. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.



•Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: one year as a Human Resource Analyst 2 in the area of the parenthetical; or one year as a Field Human Resource Officer 1, and one year of professional experience in the area of the parenthetical; or two years of experience in the performance of professional human resource work, including one year of professional experience in the area of the parenthetical and a bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
