Focuses on optimizing the interconnected components of a manufacturing system. May collaborate on projects involving electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, or process engineering, or operational excellence. Design and implement process optimization and cost saving strategies. Engage in team building and project management practices.

Key Responsibilities

· Collaborates on specialized and broad-based assignments and projects that may require collaboration with other functions.

· May collaborate on projects involving electrical power and controls to develop new or improve existing manufacturing processes.

· Process optimization trials, analysis and recommendations.

· Prepares monthly quality and production reports.

· Assists with installation, troubleshooting and repair of equipment.

· Machine break analysis, troubleshooting and recommendations.

· Chemical trials, analysis and recommendations.

· Analyzes tooling failures and evaluates tool characteristics and requirements.

· May coordinate and perform periodic operational diagnostics on operations.

· Provides technical support to improve equipment and process reliability.

· May provide assistance and guidance to less experienced engineering colleagues.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

· Typically possesses an Engineering degree and 4-8 years of experience.

Knowledge and Skills

· Broad knowledge of industrial instrumentation, electrical systems, manufacturing processes, and lean manufacturing concepts.

· Works effectively under general supervision and independently.

· Strong Project Management knowledge.

· Detail oriented with strong written and oral communication skills.

· Proficiency in relevant software (e.g. CAD).
