Position Name: Supply Chain Specialist
Position Type: Non-Exempt, Full-Time
Reports to: Supply Chain Director
Hours: Normal business hours; weekends required
Salary range: $45K+ DOE

Mission of Role

The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for tracking inventory, following up on orders, and purchasing fresh food from our suppliers.

Functions and Responsibilities

Manage inventory to prevent shortages and waste. 
Capture daily inventories plus still-needs and apply them accurately for ordering.  

Supporting multiple levels of the supply chain: purchasing, related operations department, and the supply chain analyst.

Compile all required pertinent documentation for purchasing and inventory.
Process reports accurately and timely at designated times.

Manage and process all fresh food and freezer orders.
Monitor and report all activity to cross-functional team members.

Meet supplier order deadlines. Execute menu (cycle) changes, compiling reporting with costs & assignments.

Support Materials and Warehouse managers with ordering and inventory.
Knowledge of MRP systems, material requirement systems, and master schedules.

Work with WMS and MRP systems. Identify inventory accuracy based on forecast and ordering.

Experience Requirements

Supply Chain experience in the food industry creating POs, sales orders, and forecasting.
Background in supporting inventory of stocks and/or material used for production.

Adept knowledge of inventory concepts used to support production: inventory principles, policies, and techniques including stocking levels, order quantities, safety stocks, handling, and storage requirements.

Skilled with inventory techniques around handling and storage requirements.

Intermediate computer & software skills, especially the use of Microsoft Excel. I.e.: Pivot
Tables, V-lookups, formulas, etc. Experience in working with MRP & WMS systems.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Post-secondary degree preferred.
APICS Certification a plus.
