Job Description
General Summary:
The Drug & Alcohol Technician (D&A Tech) is primarily responsible for supporting drug and alcohol sample collections, records management and data entry. This includes scanning of all collection-only and client specific Chain of Custody forms (CCF), referral forms and account set up forms; data entry of drug and alcohol collection-only CCFs; replenishment, tracking and maintenance of all departmental collection supplies; filing, retrieval and overall maintenance of CCFs and referral forms. Some travel across the state may be required.

Other duties as necessary.

Ability to treat confidential information with appropriate discretion.
Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software.

Job Requirements - Education and Training:
High school education required
Familiarity with basic Microsoft programs required

Physical Demands and Work Conditions:
Work conditions are such that significant time will be spent walking, standing, stooping, sitting, and include some lifting. Exposure to body fluids, sharps, and other health care occupational hazards is routine. Conditions will include exposure to hospital grade cleaning solutions, flammable solutions and gases, e.g., alcohol and oxygen, as well as latex and other industrial chemicals.
