Confined Space Rescue Technician
Part Time
Operate as a member of Beacon’s elite Confined Space Rescue Team to provide rescue standby for clients during confined space entry operations.
May involve travel to locations within Alaska – Prudhoe Bay, North Pole, Valdez, Kenai Peninsula.

Anticipated Job Duration: 4-150 Days
Job Description As Follows:
•Part Time/On Call
•May involve travel to locations within Alaska – Prudhoe Bay, North Pole, Valdez, Kenai Peninsula
•Work periods will vary anywhere from one day to three weeks long
•Must be able to acquire a Department of Homeland Security Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card
Minimum Requirements:
•Operations level Confined Space Rescue certificate
•First Aid/CPR trained
•Rescue Technician experience
•Be able to wear a supplied air respirator (SCBA and/or SABA)
•No physical restrictions which would preclude climbing, crawling, bending over, crouching, lifting, lowering, manipulating rope and equipment, physical exertion, and working either at heights and/or in small spaces
Physical Demands and Work Conditions:
Work conditions are such that significant time will be spent walking, standing, stooping, sitting, assisting with positioning patients, and include some lifting. Exposure to anesthetic gases, blood and body fluids, sharps, and other health care occupational hazards is routine. Conditions will include exposure to hospital grade cleaning solutions, flammable solutions and gases, e.g., alcohol and oxygen, as well as latex and other industrial chemicals. Personnel assigned will be subject to pre-employment physical, drug testing and fitness for duty evaluation.
