Explosive Detection K-9 Handler, Full Time
MOS: 31B, Z6 ASI, 27 ASI, 31K, 3PO51A, 5812
Locations: DC area, Philadelphia, PA and Manhattan, KS

Basic Requirements:
•U.S. Citizen with a minimum of three years experience as an explosive detection, Military Working Dog handlers.
•Acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving record (no major violations, and no more than 2 minor violations).
•Must be able to recognize K9 diseases, familiar with hygiene requirements, and know the physical condition of the canine.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•Excellent written, oral, and listening communication skills.
•Ability to interact well with public.
•Demonstrated maturity, self-control, patience, and ability to self-supervise.
•Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
•Exercise sound judgment in all areas of responsibility.
•Ability to establish and maintain effective communications with individuals, agencies, government and law enforcement.
•Ability to maintain effective professional relationships with outside individuals, agencies and site-specific security forces..
•Ability to understand and successfully handle various operational issues.
•Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation(s) and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
•Able to pass a full physical in accordance with 29CFR1910 and other site specific requirements.
•Willingness to rotate across multiple ECI client locations and rotating schedules with potential travel requirements outside of the National Capital area.
