The job functions of the Systems Engineering Consultant will include the following:
• Provide technology solution development and integration across the SDLC including requirements, functional specs, design, custom development, integration, testing, and deployment
• Maintain a strong focus on structuring, managing, and implementing complex technical solutions requiring deep business expertise, process optimization, and business operations knowledge to achieve significant and measurable business value
• Alignment with a technology service line to promote the development of deep technical skills and experiences, and improve our ability to tailor solutions to solve clients' business issues

Requirements:
• Applicants should be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government Security Clearance
• Legacy to Cloud-Native Architecture:
o Experience conducting assessments of legacy, custom applications to migrate to a cloud-native architecture, taking advantage of elastic scale and optimized maintenance and operations costs
o Experience in Amazon Web Services, Salesforce/AppExchange experience

• Data Store Architecture:
o Experience in architecting custom application solutions using Cloud-native data store technology such as Amazon S3 or hosted No-SQL technologies such as Mongo, Hadoop, MarkLogic
o Experience in Amazon Web Services, Salesforce native data store experience

• Software Application Architecture:
o Experience in custom software application architecture using core languages (Java, Microsoft and JavaScript) applying multi-tier, services architectures using server-side frameworks such as Spring, Struts, Microsoft.NET, REST and front side frameworks such as Angular JS, JSF, GWT, Microsoft.NET, Backbone, Ember, jQuery, or similar MVC/MVVC frameworks

• Database Architecture:
o Experience in architecting custom application solutions using relational database technology such as Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft databases, and persistence frameworks (Object Relational Mapping) such as Hibernate/ Nhibernate, iBatis

In addition, an ideal candidate will also possess one or more of the following:
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
• Ability to facilitate design sessions
• Ability to translate requirements into design specifications and experience in developing design documents
• Understanding and experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience in software development to a common coding, version control, and architectural standard
• Knowledgeable in software quality concepts such as documenting source code and software language specific code quality practices
• Understanding of software development team management support tools such as JIRA, ANT, or similar task, issues, and software build tools
• Experience in applied unit testing
• Understanding of system architecture and component-based architecture and design
• Familiarity with SOA, portal, J2EE, and Microsoft technologies
• Applied IDE (integrated development environment) experience in either: Eclipse, Microsoft Visual Studio, iOS SDK, or other Java, Microsoft.net, or mobile development platform
