Deloitte & Touche LLP’s GPS Regulatory and Legal Support services are designed to minimize risk at the core of the operations of a company – data. Regulatory and Legal Support professionals possess a combination of analytical skills with IT knowledge to enhance the quality, usability, reliability, and availability of data. Our overall mission is to leverage data analysis and business process experience to work with Federal agencies to evaluate, improve, and sustain the quality and integrity of their data. Our services aim to turn data into reliable information to allow agencies to make better business decisions, enhanced decision making, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Some of the areas where Deloitte & Touche Regulatory and Legal Support services can be applied include system implementation, healthcare compliance, risk analysis, data integrity, and inventory services.

The job functions of the GPS Regulatory and Legal Support Consultant will include the following:

Analysis and Reporting:
• Risk based performance management reporting and dashboards
• Regulatory compliance and requirements reporting
• Mission and accounting analytics for process assessment or improvement
• Statistical analysis and sampling
• Trend analysis

Data Quality and Integrity:
• Data quality assessment, root cause analysis, and profiling
• Data remediation and cleansing
• Data reconciliation
• Data conversion validation
• Data quality monitoring

Job responsibilities will vary by project. Examples of job responsibilities include:
• Manipulating large data files, then transforming the data into business information that helps agencies fulfill strategic objectives
• Searching for meaningful patterns, trends, and relationships by sifting through large amounts of data, and explaining the findings to people with varying backgrounds
• Documenting the logic behind software code developed and procedures performed
• Contributing to the development of executive level presentations to facilitate discussion of analysis
• Developing solutions and recommendations for improving data integrity issues
• Developing and coding business rules to support risk based analysis and/or risk based modeling
• Contributing to a strong client relationship through interactions with client personnel
• Understanding an engagement as it relates to client's business
• Contributing to engagement planning and ensuring that deliverables meet workplan objectives and quality standards
• Contributing to business development opportunities under the direction of management

Requirements:
• BS/BA in Economics, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related area
• Experience with data quality analysis, statistical analysis and/or modeling, financial or cost analysis, auditing of internal controls, and/or external/internal financial audit
• Applicants should be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government Security Clearance
• Willingness to travel and flexibility to commute to clients in the D.C. metro area as needed

In addition, an ideal candidate will also possess one or more of the following:
• Previous Federal Consulting experience
• Experience with one or more of the following data analytics tools: SQL, SPSS, R, Python, Hadoop, Visual Basic, Tableau, ACL, IDEA, and/or Alteryx
• Experience with similar tools such as: Visual Basic, Tableau, or MATLAB
• Experience with Access and Excel programming languages such as VB and/or SQL to develop ad-hoc tools, queries, and reports
• Analytical ability to delve into detail while maintaining a broader business perspective on issues
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires balancing competing priorities
• Certifications in SAS, ACL, CISA, CISSP, CPA, CFA, PMP, FRM
