Summary:
The Facility Maintenance Technician performs general preventative maintenance and corrective repair of the facility’s structure, equipment and grounds at MarBorg Industries. Utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, gardening and painting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•General carpentry, cement work, plumbing, electrical, and painting.
•Perform concrete slab repairs.
•Diagnose and repair sump pumps.
•Minor tree pruning.
•Maintains lighting systems throughout the various facilities, cleaning fixtures, replacing bulbs and adjust timers when appropriate.
•Maintenance and repair of misting system in recycle yard and portable restroom yard.
•Maintenance and repair of cameras.
•Keeps all roof and gutters clean.
•Periodically stripes all parking spaces.
•Cleans solar panels quarterly.
•Maintains all gates, locks and rollers.
•Identify items to be thrown away and or scrapped.
•Assist co-workers in moving items around the various properties as needed.
•Coordinate repairs with outside contractors.
•Use power and hand tools when repairs are needed to building or equipment.
•Comply with OSHA regulations when using hazardous chemicals on company premises; comply with company safety regulations.
•Completes special projects as may be assigned and prioritized by the on-site manager.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. •Experience in general carpentry, plumbing, electrical and painting within a building or facility.
•Take initiative and recognize tasks to be completed.
•Ability to work independently or with a team.
•Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with management, co-workers and contractors.
•Must be able to operate forklift, scissor lift, boom lift and sweeper.•Use of variety hand, power tools, and equipment.
•Must have knowledge of safe work practices
•Successfully complete pre-employment background check, physical and drug screening.
•Available to work five (5) days, 40-50 hours per week

Education and/or Experience
•High school diploma or equivalent.•Minimum of 2 year of building maintenance experience.

Certifications, Licenses, Registration
•Class C Driver’s License

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
