Occupational Health and Safety Consultants with Travel to South America & Mexico
Contract Full Time Remote Work Seasonal Travel Under Contract Bid

Marine owned and operated company, providing safety consultation services to the power generation industry, is seeking to expand its cadre of contracted Occupational Health and Safety consultants in anticipation of contract award with travel throughout the United States, South America, and Mexico.

Location: We are hiring for this position across the country and will fly you directly to the job location!!

Competitive candidate would be:
Retired E-7 or higher
Significant experience in managing Safety, Quality, or Turbine maintenance
Proficient in the risk management process (ORM)
Willing to travel throughout the United States, South America, and Mexico.

Duties and Responsibilities
•Ensure all assigned personnel attend required safety orientation and training sessions.
•Verify the project management team, and the entire workforce, adhere to the hazardous energy control program (LOTO).
•Consolidate Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals used during the project; and ensure the workforce is able to access them at will.
•Communicate assigned roles and responsibilities outlined in the site Emergency Action Plan, or Project Emergency Action Plan.
•Confirm all personnel are oriented to the location of all Safety, First-Aid, and Fire Prevention Equipment.
•Assist the project management team with the implementation and monitoring of the Site Specific Health and Safety requirements.
•Assess adherence to applicable OSHA standards, company policies, and industry best practices via work area audits and inspections.
•Advise key leadership in reference to leading indicators, and other performance trends within the project, via regular activity summaries.
•Ensure personnel are trained, and demonstrate, proper entry procedures for confined spaces; and regular air monitoring is performed.
•Review and approve all critical lift plans.
•Support the performance of Fire Prevention and Security Protocols within the workforce.
•Maintain and submit safety records and reports accordingly.
•Evaluate fitness for duty of any personnel who exhibit signs of substance abuse or fatigue.
•Conduct investigations of all Unplanned Events, Near-Miss Incidents, and Loss of Property; provide Supervisors with the necessary support to ensure corrective actions are sufficient to prevent recurrence.

In order to be considered qualified to join our team, you must possess the following:
5 years of experience
Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
Advanced proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
OSHA 500
OSHA 501

  • Not a requirement, but highly preferred.

What can you expect from American Perseverance, Inc.?
12-Hour or 13-Hour shifts (project dependent), 7 days per week.
Project duration range between 12 – 28 days depending on work scope.
Work is seasonal (Spring Season runs from Feb – June, Fall Season runs from Sept – Nov).
Airfare and Rental Vehicle provided at no cost.
