Location: Vandenberg Village, 3880 Constellation Road, Lompoc, CA 93436

Under general supervision of the Assistant Information Technology Manager, the IT Helpdesk/PC Specialist 1 is responsible for a variety of activities, including assisting with Helpdesk request problem resolution, personal computers, and technical/mechanic systems.

Some responsibilities are:
Provides helpdesk request problem resolution via phone, remote access, and in person while tracking and updating through Credit Union ticketing system
Troubleshoots complex technical and mechanical issues and works with vendors to resolve problems
Identifies, investigates and resolves personal computer failures or problems
Develops, implements and coordinates helpdesk support program, including end user support/training and problem solving
Coordinates a variety of aspects of branch systems and projects with MIS, IT and management
Responsible for installation, training and maintenance related to personal computer hardware and software
Maintains an accurate inventory of all hardware and software via in-house system
Resolves staff technical issues through in-person and phone support in a courteous and efficient manner.
Participates in business continuity tests and disaster recovery by responding to disruption of operations, following recovery steps for critical functions and systems, and taking mitigation measures for less critical functions and restoring a permanent facility for the Credit Union’s network, telephone system, PC support and email system
May be required to drive a motor vehicle to various sites
Follows policies and procedures related to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Identification Program (CIP) to ensure daily compliance with current regulations

Knowledge and skills required:
A High School Diploma is required. A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized courses in related field is preferred.
Knowledge of branch operational activities as would normally be acquired from a minimum of three years of increasingly responsible related work experience in the assigned function.
Ability to obtain a valid driver’s license and provide proof of insurance
Ability to read and understand instructions, memo and documents such as employee handbook, procedure manuals, safety rules, and operating and maintenance instructions
Ability to listen effectively
Ability to perform duties accurately and timely, with frequent interruptions
Ability to organize work to meet deadlines
Ability to be bonded
