Truck Sales Account Representative Trainee

North Jersey Truck Center, an Elite Freightliner Dealer and the oldest, most stable truck dealer in New Jersey is looking for Sales Trainees. Our blue chip customer base consists of every industry that moves or delivers a product. From the gasoline in your car, the food you eat, to the Amazon product delivered to your door.
Our product line covers every weight class from the Freightliner Sprinter Van, Freightliner Medium and Heavy Duty Trucks to the Freightliner Custom Chassis & Mitsubishi Fuso Trucks.
The ideal candidate would have experience in a mechanical or heavy equipment/truck transportation background, or related power transmission field. CDL a plus, but not required. Must be CDL eligible.
Essential Functions:
The position is responsible for generating new customers and developing existing accounts to increase truck sales and maintain overall customer satisfaction.
Build strong customer relationships, loyalty, and retention by delivering exceptional Customer Service through our Elite Dealership program.
Technical expertise and review of customer requirements and specifications to meet their requirements.
Collaborates with internal/external resources when the need arises to meet customer needs and capitalize on opportunities.
Work with sales team to ensure on time deliveries and inventory allocations.
Expand existing account opportunities and consultative applications.
Actively participates in Company initiatives and supports a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and suggesting process improvements.
Other duties as required.
Job Requirements:
• Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and the ability to put presentations together.
• Strong organization, communication, and telephone skills.
• Provide quotes and other information to customers via email, phone and in person
• Must be willing to visit and build new relationships with customers
• CDL a plus, must be CDL eligible
