The person in this position assists in the effective communication between the Transload Laborer team and Railroad Operations, sets the workschedule, and acts as the main Transload team point of contact with customers. Other duties may include loading and unloading railcars with bulk materials, using moving equipment, recording operating data, observing the position of railcars when moving in relation to the surroundings, checking the condition of railcars, and troubleshooting and repairing equipment.

•Assist in the effective communication between the Transload Laborer Team and Railroad Operations
•Set the workschedule for the Tranload Laborer Team
•Act as the main Transload team point of contact with customers
•Load and unload chemicals and bulk solids such as stone, sand, and grain into or from railcars and trucks using moving equipment
•Observe position of cars passing loading spouts and swing spouts and correct as necessary
•Operate loading and unloading equipment, conveyors, hoists, and other specialized material-handling equipment
•Monitor product movement to and from railcars and trucks to ensure constant product flow
•Perform required equipment inspections on each shift; complete vehicle maintenance forms
•Comply with all general safety and operating rules
•Assist railroad crews with various rail-related tasks to facilitate loading and staging of railcars
•Assist with other projects and perform other duties as assigned

•Three to Four years of work experience operating equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, pumps, and heavy machinery
•Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
•Possess basic understanding of the Micosoft Office Word and Excel

•High school diploma
