Reporting to the Director, Planning & Analytics, the Data Analyst II - Labor will develop, interpret, and implement complex financial and analytical concepts or techniques for labor planning and control. The Data Analyst II - Labor will assist management with the interpretation, evaluation and interrelationship of research data and generate integrated business analysis and projections to facilitate decision making.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Create and prepare monthly and annual demand forecast models for use by Centralized Scheduling team and business managers in the creation of staff schedules.
Consult with business managers and Centralized Scheduling team, develops and maintains productivity standards by position and business unit, tracking actual productivity against targeted benchmarks.
Create statistical models and staffing recommendations to optimize Full-Time to Part-Time staffing ratios across San Manuel.
Partner with management to develop, evaluate, and revise methodologies for measuring and forecasting labor performance and to drive cost-containment and efficiency strategies.
Conduct special studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepares recommendation for policy, procedure, control, or action.
Conduct and coordinate financial, market, operational, and related research to support strategic and business planning within the department as directed by the Director, Planning & Analytics.
Interpret and evaluate the interrelationship of research data, and generates integrated business analysis and projections for incorporation into decision-making.
Perform special studies as assigned including preparation of written and/or verbal reports.
Any additional job-related duties as assigned by FP&A management.
Education/Experience/Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Hospitality Management, or related field required.
Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum five (5) years of experience performing labor analytics in the leisure & hospitality industry required.
Equivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant and direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational/experience requirements indicated above.
Experience performing labor analytics for a multi-property leisure & hospitality business preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required.
Demonstrated experience working with relational databases and enterprise reporting tools required.
Experience developing financial statistical models for forecasting and valuation.
Employee must have experience demonstrating the utmost discretion and confidentiality as they will have access to confidential information including, but not limited to: Social Security numbers, customer contact information, customer financial data, and organizational financial data.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations

At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
Must have a current valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
