Job Description

The Stationary Guard Officer (SGO) is responsible for providing on-call security services to unaccompanied alien children (UAC) and families services for the support of the customer’s assigned mission and deliverables as detailed in basic contract and task order(s) Statement of Work.

**This position is notional and contingent upon contract award**

Duties and responsibilities:
Provide on-call security services to UAC
Maintain communication with other Contractor personnel to support continuous security during UAC transport and/or temporary holding
Maintain current training and certification requirements in accordance with state and Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) / Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) standards
Applies CHS policies and procedures or develops and implements new procedures, as may be required
Attends and participates in a variety of meetings and task force groups to improve quality and client outcomes, communicate issues and solutions, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain a specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, and new policy requirements.

Job Requirements
Possess an associate’s degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college (a high school diploma with two or more years of relevant experience may be substituted for an associate’s degree) and,
Have at least two years of documented experience in a field related to law, social work, detention, corrections, or similar occupational area; as well as certification, licensure, and credentials applicable to the professional accreditation of the position and,
Demonstrate experience applicable to the goals and objectives of this program sufficient to communicate with other staff, and appropriate for a similar program environment and,
Possess and maintain appropriate state licensure
US Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Required Immunizations:
Varicella: 2 doses of varicella vaccine (at least 4 weeks apart)
Or titers indicating varicella immunity
Or documentation from healthcare provider verifying previous infection
Measles, mumps, rubella: 2 doses of MMR vaccine (at least 4 weeks apart)
Or titers indicating immunity to all 3 diseases
Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis: Complete primary vaccination series.
If primary vaccination series completed in childhood, 1 Tdap dose in adulthood
If received Tdap as an adult, but greater than 10 years, an additional TD or Tdap should be completed
Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis (DTaP),
Polio (IPV),
Haemophilus influenza (Hib),
Hepatitis B,
Hepatitis A,
Rotavirus (RV),
Pneumococcus (PCV)
Influenza: 1 dose annually during flu season (generally, September to May)

Other Requirements:
Performs duties in a safe manner. Follows the corporate safety policy.
Participates in and supports safety meetings, training, and goals.
Ensures safe operating conditions within an area of responsibility.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.

Physical Requirement:
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.
