Pantera Capital (www.panteracapital.com) is one of the oldest and largest institutional investors in blockchain tech and cryptocurrencies, managing ~$1B in AUM. Pantera Capital is hiring quants for our San Francisco office to focus on quantitative trading opportunities in cryptocurrencies. You will be an integral part of our team, tasked with developing automated tools for data consumption, model/algo generation, and execution. We are seeking people with backgrounds in machine learning. We work with a range of data sources and you will be involved in helping uncover the alphas that drive our systematic trading models. You will be part of the end to end process of our algorithmic trading strategies from data processing to new alpha research.

Pantera's Digital Asset Fund is a multi-strategy quantitative hedge fund designed to achieve higher returns than those obtainable from buying and holding Bitcoin and/or other cryptocurrencies. With the Digital Asset Fund we’re aiming for consistent, reproducible, and rigorous quantitative strategies. We’re working on strategies across multiple timescales including sub-second, minute level, hourly, daily, and periods of weeks. Our strategies are informed by machine learning on high quality proprietary datasets.

We think the future of cryptocurrency trading is going to be driven by a blending of deep technical due diligence and sustainable, structurally driven alpha.

About the role:
Entering and updating data information into a variety of databases; Salesforce, company website, spreadsheets, etc.
Internet research to find and add information on the firm’s customer base
Perform ad-hoc administrative tasks as needed

About you:
Strong academic background
Exceptional verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to closely follow instructions and adhere to proper procedures
Attention to detail and concern for quantitative accuracy
Possesses good technical skills, primarily in Microsoft Office applications and internet saavy
Excellent personnel and project management skills
