Experienced Collections Officer
Full-time Non-Ex Reg Full-Time

Under general supervision of the Collections Manager, this Collection Officer will be responsible for performing a wide variety of member Collections duties
Some of the responsibilities are;
Contacts member through various methods to determine reason for delinquency.
Negotiates and establishes repayment process or extension of credit with members.
Researches and analyzes data.
Researches account loan transactions to resolve payment errors.
Uses method of skip tracing to locate either member or property.
Responds to members’ inquiries, request and assist in completing documents.
Recommends and prepares accounts for collateral seizure and foreclosure.
Recommends and prepares legal referrals such as wage garnishment, levies and abstracts.
Performs duties relating to death claims on loans.
Tracks collateral protection insurance ensuring member has complied with credit union requirements.
Tracks claims filed for credit disability and credit life insurance ensuring timely payment or payoffs.
Researches and resolves credit-reporting disputes.
Some of the requirements of the job are;
A high school diploma or its equivalent with minimum 2-year experience in the field or in a related area.
Punctual and regular attendance.
Participates in trainings and meetings in various locations.
Knowledge of English usage, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts, using various mathematical methods.
Ability to operate a variety of office equipment and machines.
Ability to be dressed professionally.
Ability to be bonded.
