The Field Installer reports into the Primary Trimble Installer which will vary depending on event location and is responsible for providing installation and other services for Trimble’s US Military customers. The Field Installer is responsible for delivering quality services in a professional and timely manner while on and off the job site. Total Job length may vary from 1 to 5 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform Machine Control installations for Trimble Inc, including key accounts, resellers, and the US government.
Ensures the operational quality of the system by documenting post-installation tests
Ensures that installation, training, and other work necessary is completed on time.
Documents and reports field activities as well as being proactive in creating process improvements

Skills & Experience Required:

Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical knowledge of heavy equipment systems required
Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills.
Experience in Arc/Stick welding is desired (Certification a plus but not required)
Familiarity with construction site operations using heavy equipment machine controlled systems is desired
Able to understand technical drawings and schematics
Ability to plan and organize work with minimal supervision
Effective decision-making, planning, communication skills
Familiar with CAT 120M Graders, 613C Scrapers, D6K Dozers a plus
Operation of heavy construction equipment a plus
Knowledge of CAN/J1939, Ethernet, and wireless communications a plus
4 years of related work experience.
