Grew up in LeRoy, NY, where Jell-O was invented. Got a BS in Chemistry at SUNY at Albany. Worked as a chemist (9 years) and a librarian (4 years) at the Texaco Research Labs, worked as Technology Editor at Hart's E&P and Upstream Technology magazines. Currently writing field development plans and standards and procedures at Occidental Petroleum.
