About Al

I was chief information officer for the McGraw-Hill Companies, Alcatel-Lucent and AT&T Universal Card. I was also senior vice president global distributed systems for ABN AMRO bank and director of process engineering for Citibank’s worldwide credit card business.

My wonderfully creative IT teams earned 7 industry awards for IT innovation in customer service and as a member of the executive team at AT&T, I was doubly fortunate to receive the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in the Service category presented by the Secretary of Commerce and the president of the United States.

To show how the seemingly perpetual business-IT gap can be transformed into a mutually-valued strategic partnership, I've also authored 47 articles for Forbes, CIO, Reuters and other IT management publications and the Amazon bestselling book: "Technical Impact: Making your Information Technology Effective, and Keeping It That Way."

I now provide guidance to enterprise leaders on ways to make their IT management team a powerful and exciting resource which keeps their businesses aware of the latest technological developments.

More background detail is available on LinkedIn, if needed, and my website is www.technicalimpact.com.

I'm also a SCORE (Small Business Administration) certified mentor (3 years) and I very much enjoy guiding and counseling those who have chosen to develop their career or build upon their business concept.

I'd love to help veterans discover the opportunities in the ever growing world of information technology.

Kindest regards,

Al Kuebler
