About Marc

My name is Marc Bernath. I spent the last 23 years as an officer in the Navy Civil Engineer Corps. What that means is that I have taken on a myriad of roles and increased responsibilities leading government civilian, contractor and military workforces as a project manager, program manager, director, and department head in the facility management, operations, construction and acquisition field. Presently I'm the Public Works Officer or in other words Program Director synthesizing disparate but interrelated programs to successfully run the 242 acre Naval Support Activity Bethesda installation in Bethesda, MD. As I transition off active duty my intent is to continue with this passion and I'm looking for a comparable director or program management position. I have an MBA from Salve Regina University, an MS in Construction Management from Virginia Tech, and a BS in Environmental Resource Engineering from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. I am a registered Professional Engineer licensed in Virginia, a Certified Energy Manager, and a Project Management Professional.
