About Kimberly
Writer, Personality Style Expert & Analyst, Business Owner (self-publisher)
I would love to volunteer my time to help our great veterans find their full potential through their personality style. Understanding where you get your energy from, is paramount in deciding what career to go into. Learning to "read" others personality is an asset during the interviewing process.
I have several years experience as a speaker, writer, counselor, marketing planner, financial executive, dating coach, and even a comedy traffic school instructor!
I would also enjoy reviewing and editing resumes and cover letters.
Fun Fact: Your military experience and personality can get you hired. Here's an example. When my father got out of the Air Force after 10 years of being a navigation pilot, we moved to Chicago, IL in 1959 to apply at some new company that was expanding. Why Ray Kroc hired my father to help train his new McDonald's franchise owners, I'll never know. My father had zero experience in the food business. What I do know, is Ray was very patriotic and my father loved Chicago and was very charismatic. He worked for McDonald's for several years, before getting his own unit in So. Calif. He had the restaurant for a few years, before moving on to other ventures.
On a personal note, I am the daughter of an Air Force navigation pilot, born at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage before it was a state. My father raised his five kids as if they were in the military, which came in handy as I've moved 56 times in my 58 years!
I hated it as a teenager, but later have told my parents several times over the years, that being raised in such a disciplined manner (and a generous sense of humor) has been a real asset and has landed me several jobs as I have shared this story in interviews.
I have a lot of experience in looking for jobs and at times, hiring employees under my supervision.
I look forward to speaking and helping in any way I can. Thanks for your service.
