About Jeffrey

Former Active Duty Marine 1988-1994. Welcome home or back to civilian life* Thank you for carrying Liberty's torch to the world. Presently I work in local government. I am fortunate and have a outstanding local government career with power to provide opportunity to my brothers and sisters in arms. Specifically to anyone with trades or construction experience at any time in their working life. Not as a laborer or craftsmen but as a highly skilled licensed inspector, examiner or permitting technician in the Middle West Coastal Florida region. Salaries are mid 40's with benefits and State Pensions. I need disciplined people of a military mind on my team. Even if you don't have building, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing experience I have the ability to influence other skill set employment decisions over a broad area. End of Active Service from the Marine Corps was like just getting out of High School but time stood still. I struggled for another six years before catching up and eventually exceeding some of my peers. Those six years were fun, hard and financially difficult. Not much different than the preceding six right. I knew I had much to offer in many areas, had discipline and a rare work ethic. Yea I could fight, shoot, polish and run forever but finding a civilian fit and intellectual opportunity took a while. There wasn't as much help available as there is today in transitioning. It was good but not what it is today. Contact me for advice, opportunity or just my experience after separation. I see resumes and applications frequently and frankly its depressing until I see a vet's. The difference is often profound, if anything at least in effort. I think if those who are empowered bind together and continue in tradition we can take care of our own and they will take care of those to come. Proverb: If you want to know what lies on the road ahead ask someone on their way back.

When is a good time to start contacting potential employers?

It's never too early. I keep all potential candidate resumes that impress me, including those that arent the skill set...
