About Gary

Born in Peekskill New York
Raised by German parents on a small farm with 6 Siblings ( 2 brothers, and 4 sisters )
Father was a butcher so we grew up lower middle class to poor
Spent 2.5 years in US Navy as Radar Technician @ NAS Pensacola until I got injured and received a medical honorable discharge. I am currently 25 % disabled but have never let that slow me down.
Joined IBM as technician with 2 year Electro-mechanical Degree
Joined IBM in 1981 as an electronics technician testing parts for IBM Servers
I acquired my 4 year under graduate degree in Electrical Engineering going part time while I work at IBM. I am currently a Senior Engineer.

I worked in Test Development , Test Equipment Engineering, Product Engineering, Technology Engineering, and currently an the IBM Server Group testing the latest Computer Processors, Artificial Intelligence ( AI ) Chips, and Cloud computing chips. I also run major development projects for IBM and have 4 Engineers and 5 technicians that report to me. I have over 38 patents and publications associated with Electronic Test and Semiconductor Technology.

I own multi-family Investment property for 40 years and have learned all the trades and acquired all the tools to support these investments and have done all phases of construction.

I have a second Catskill mountain home 1 hr from my Poughkeepsie home and enjoy almost every weekend there on 5 acres with a lake. This is my quiet time and solitude escape from the hustle and bustle.
I also just started to raise and train champion German Shepard's for military, police, home protection, search and rescue , and home pets. I love gardening, hunting, hiking, golfing, cycling and someday motorcycling again like I used to on my Harley's. I love music and socializing with friends as well as hold home concerts at my Catskill home in the summer.

As you can see I am not a coach potato, watch very little TV, and stay busy dawn to dusk.

Lastly I am a glass half full guy and believe that positive thinking, hard work, and perseverance can overcome anything. I also believe anyone can do or be anything they want to in this great country of ours. I am a conservative God fearing patriot and respect our leaders, police, military service, and first responders. Most of all ; GOD, Family, work, and our American flag are precious to me.
