I was in the Corps for 4 years serving in food service. My first station was in Okinawa for two years with 12th marines at camp Hansen. While there I worked in the store room as a substance clerk and later a substance chief. I was responsible for keeping cost per plate under control, receiving all food items, issuing said items, and crating forecast based on deployment tempos to meet the base demand. Once my two year rotation was up I was sent to Parris Island to work in Food Service Depot. While there I assisted our supply admin (3043) in supplying all the chow halls with major equipment by being the technical expert and helping him locate and identify equipment found on our CMR. I as well was in change of managing the stock pile of MREs for recruit training and inspecting the civilian contractors as apart of the food team. Since leaving the Corps I have been in school here at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee studying Supply Chain Operations Management and will be graduating this December in my short 3 years here.
